Leak Investigation

What is a Leak Investigation?

A leak investigation involves identifying the source and cause of water infiltration in a building's structure. This process includes a thorough assessment of potential problem areas, such as roofs, walls, windows, and parapets, to determine the origin of the leak and recommend effective repairs.

I Have a leak in my building. What do I do now?

Building Envelope Inspections will thoroughly assess your building to locate the source of the leak using visual inspections and diagnostic tools. We sill then provide a detailed report with repair recommendations and help coordinate the necessary fixes to prevent future water damage.

Once I contact BEI, what should I do ?

Firstly, we will schedule a site visit to investigate the source of the leak. Following our list of recommendations, a flood test may be required to further diagnose the issue. Once the source is apparent, we will then provide a list of recommended repairs to take place.

We have completed the repairs recommended by BEI. What are the next steps?

Once all the repairs are completed, subsequent flood testing can be performed to determine all the necessary repairs are completed and in a satisfactory manner. Once this is complete, consistent maintenance is all that will be required to assure no other areas have leakage.
